Hiking

We're pretty good about getting the girls out into nature and trying new things. But today I was reminded again about how much fun they have. We decided to go "hiking"on the first day of 2008. The first park we thought of happened to be closed on New Year's Day but luckily there is a very nice nature trail right here in Boerne. The girls had so much fun exploring and Vienne always fills her pockets with "treasures". It was cold though. A frigid 50 degrees. I know, some places are under feets of snow. But that's cold for S. Texas.

I love the first shot! What a way to start the new year! It's 4 degrees here today...I'd take 50! :)

One of our goals for this year is to take more hikes with Zane! Thanks for the reminder of how great they are.

Great shots and good for you with getting out and walking. I bet the kids love to do that. I wish we could do that right now, but yeah...feets of snow.

I think that is the hat you bought on Etsy, right? It looks adorable on her. :)

those are both great shots! I really love the one of Natalya, with the reeds in the foreground.
We've been experiencing some frigid Texas weather too! In the 40s even! ;o)

Yes, indeed, lovely shots. Using my handy online converter I see that 50F is 10C. Quite chilly :-)
I love the credits panel at the bottom of the shots. Nice idea. Must get out and go for a walk myself. I have been a slug since Christmas.
