Pattin' Myself on the Back

I'm still learning the flare thing but I think I did pretty good on this one. I got low to take this and happened to see the sun through the trees. I crossed my fingers and clicked. Not bad, eh? Then I chose to over expose a little and added a touch of grain. I chose this as My Best Shot. Now I'm going over to Picture This to see other amazing shots.

I was thinking the other day, (even though I looked like i was run over by a truck) that we should have gotten a picture together at botanical to post on the blogs. oh well. It was fun bumping into you and your cute family. have a good week!

Great job! I still have a lot to learn about capturing sun flare. I never seem to get it right.

Maile, trust me, I looked the same way after being there for 5 minutes. It was sooo hot. We should have taken our picture. Or someone should have. Think these thoughts quicker!

Fabulous! I've only managed a couple of good flare shots and they were accidental.

I love the b&w and grain with this one.

However you did it, it's a great shot. They look so purposeful, kind of striding out together....

The b&w and the sun work really well. Looks like there's still plenty of it down your way.

Nice work! I haven't experimented with flare, but that is an inspiration.
